Eco rabbit breeding





There are many in the world who are already aware of the method of pure rabbit-breeding. It arouses many questions, fervent comments and versatile opinions from admiration to criticism. From time to time they suffer from various epidemic diseases, which often destroy nearly all the live stock. Even the regular vaccinations are of little help. Such a situation is painfully familiar to many rabbit-breeders practically in every region. The cause of these troubles lies in the whole complex of negative factors, which are harmful to the rabbit, namely: disturbance of the ecological balance, unsanitary conditions of keeping, feeding that does not fit the natural necessities of the organism, various stresses that can result in mass murrains, ponderable losses, and bitter disappointments. In the course of a year, form the animals that succeeded in surviving only {a; some} few pounds of meat of not the best quality and some skins, a dime a dozen, could have been got. Any considerable return from such a risky business seems to be simply fantastic in the common rabbit-breeding. But in the ecologically pure rabbit-breeding {the situation; everything} can be perfectly different.


The rabbit diseases, regular murrains have made many amateurs and professionals quit this business. Meanwhile, the rabbit leaves behind many other domestic animals {on the point; in the matter} of quality, nutritiousness, gastronomical aspects, and healing properties of its meat that yield, perhaps, only to the meat of reptiles.


Globality, technogenity, disturbance of ecological balance, changes in climatic conditions, all these adversely affect the growth and development of organisms. Nowadays the viruses and diseases are observed which have been resident before only in the tropics. The cultivation of the habitual plants, vegetables, cereals, and other agricultural cultures in the natural conditions appears already to be simply unthinkable - the interference of the man with his 'technologies' and 'engineerings', artificial cultivation and feeding up is now obligatory.


The like ways are used both in stock-raising. Gene manipulations, hormones of growth, special rations, vaccines, cloning standing on the threshold…


Is there any chance for the rabbit to survive in such conditions? It comes about frequently that we feed the rabbit with the grass which has been grown in the field, considering that it is the staple in its feeding. Meanwhile, it appeared to become known that the assimilability of grass in rabbit is only 18%. And taking into account that grass takes its share of poison from the environment? The pollutants of the environment, transferred by air currents, fall on earth, meadows, fields during rains. The persistent organic pollutants like, for instance, the polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) and some pesticides are accumulated in plants, and we feed the rabbit with grass, food wastes, cabbage and beet, without neglecting hay, which comes from the same source. Fodder mixtures, mixed feed, cereals… Well, is there anything else? By all probabilities, there is NOT! We, people ourselves, consume bread, which contains nitrates, pesticides, and, what is still worse, various biological additions. We drink water, though disinfected and actually dead, but which contains sewage from the surface of poisoned earth. It is impossible to change the situation, and, willy-nilly, everyone has to accommodate oneself to changing environment. The rabbit, however, cannot accommodate itself. It does not live at liberty; it is forced to feed on that what its careless master would throw to it. It lives where it is ordered to live. So nothing else is left for it but to struggle… against its own self and to spend its own life elixir for this struggle. If it has eaten a bad food, which contains some 'pest', its immunity has to struggle against this 'problem'. If it is cold, it cannot hide and warm itself; again it has to use its own resources. If it has not drunk pure water, or, which often comes about, has not drunk at all, because contrived in overturning its basin, then it shall last the day in the state of stress, and luck if it would not devoured its own posterity. Or if it has been scared of something or someone? It is but cowardly in its nature. A stroke of the paws may result in breaking of ligaments, mostly unnoticeable for the breeder but exhausting the resources of the organism for recovery. In short, there are a lot of details, perfectly new to a common amateur.

·The rabbit lives in a clean unit which shines with whiteness, in which there are no wastes underfoot, including its own excrements. Without such contacts it can not lick the pest off its paws, does not stump on it and, above all, does not inhale its own miasmas. The excrements are removed and utilized automatically, without leaving behind the smell and exhalations, the habitual scourge of the conventional rabbit-breeding. The rabbit is clean like a museum-piece and does not spend its life elixir for the struggle against the exhalations from its own excrements and against the bacilli which are abundant there.

·The rabbit is protected from cold, heat, drafts by special structures, and again, it does not spend its resources both to warm its body and to cool it. All the resources are spent for the growth of the organism, the immune system is not wasted for struggle, remains in the rabbit, and the latter afterwards gives it to the man or its posterity.


·The rabbit has quite enough to eat and to drink, up to 80 - 90 times a day. The ration excludes grasses, so its stomach works as it is planned by the Nature. Regretfully, the physiological peculiarities in rabbit are left without attention in the common farming. It is necessary to know that the bowels in rabbit can be up to 10 feet long, his stomach is thin and cannot contract. Besides, salivation and secretion of the stomach juice in rabbit is uncontrollable. Consequently, {passing; passage} of food proceed only by incessant eating, that is, by pushing the food through. If it eats 2 - 5 and even 10 times a day, the food shall stagnate in its stomach. The stagnation provides fermentation, development of pathogenic bacteria directly in stomach. The venoms of the decomposition are absorbed into the blood; the rabbit keeps struggling with itself. All its strengths are spent for digestion and struggle with food. Is not this the reason for its incessant gnawing, often up to having gnawed its entire hutch? It simply has no alternative; it is striving with all its accessible ways push the food through. Naturally, under such forms of keeping the healthy strong rabbit is out of question.


·The rabbit drinks automatically warmed water in winter and cooled in summer. The abundance of water provides removal all the toxins and venoms from the organism. We will feed it with all the accessible food, by all probabilities already poisoned by the environment, but the rabbit will clean itself, if it will drink in plenty. And it will never devour its posterity. The rabbit does so because of want of liquid or stress got from other factors which are resident in conventional farming. The mother-rabbit after the delivery for a couple of days has the temperature of her body. When she has nothing to drink, she simply devours her own posterity, taking the moisture from them. The Nature managed so, that better let the posterity die than the adult individual, able to give more births.

·It was taken into account that the rabbit is crepuscular and burrow animal. The nest of the female, for instance, is disposed lower than the entire territory. It is warmed in winter automatically, which is of no small importance for the rising rabbits, they exhaust their mother by sucking less, because do not spend their resources for warming. Thus the female is able to nurse up to 15 cubs. She gives birth to as many, presenting her master with them, promoting the growth of her farm. Antiflood appliance in the very nest protects the posterity of young and inexperienced mothers from floods.


·The baby-rabbits suck their mother until the age of 3 months. When the mother is healthy, she does not spend her strengths for the struggle against said problems, so what else has she to do? To live and to give birth. And to feed. With valuable, nutritious mother milk, and while the babies drink it, they shall never fall ill. The more so, they shall literally be crammed with immunity. And in a month they shall give all the accumulated immunity to the man and sanitize him. Perhaps, that is why the rabbits, risen in such farms have the skin which approaches in quality to that of chinchilla. All the potential is left in meat and skin.

·The farmer has a minimum to care of. Only 20 - 60 minutes a week are necessary to attend one unit. The expenditure of labor is 21 times less than in ordinary farming. The work is also very simple and not so dirty like that on a conventional farm.

·The unit is supplied with power-driven ventilation, which removes all the smells and exhalations, so meat shall never be imparted with the reek of urine, and the farmer himself shall not reeks out of it. The excrements are utilized automatically.

·The {FRI} technology finally takes away all the problems of diseases on the farm and provides a reliable defense for the rabbits on cellular level.
